How to Use Nitrocellulose
For optimal results and a neater, smoother finish, follow these steps for applying Milan Nitrocellulose wood stain.
1. Sand the wood surface with No. 180 sandpaper in the direction of the wood grain. Wipe away the sanding dust from the wood.
2. Fill the wood pores with Milan Wood Filler; if necessary, thin it with thinner and let it dry.
3. Sand with 240-grit sandpaper until the surface is visible again. Wipe away the sanding dust from the wood surface.
4. Apply Milan Wood Stain using a spray or brush. To achieve an even color on the wood surface, wipe it down with a cloth before the wood stain dries.
5. Spray a thin, even coat of Milan Nitrocellulose Sealer (NCSS-275). Once dry, sand with 400-grit sandpaper. Repeat this step once more.
6. Spray Milan Nitrocellulose Top Coat (NC-275) Clear Gloss / Semi-Gloss / Clear Dof evenly.
