PU 845 User Guide

To ensure strong and optimal adhesion, please follow the instructions below for using Milan’s premium polyurethane adhesive.

1. The wood must be free of dust and oil

2. Make sure the wood surfaces to be joined are flat on both sides. The maximum gap or difference in surface level should not exceed 0.5 mm.

3. 3. Lightly dampen one of the wooden surfaces with a damp cloth—do not make it too wet—and wipe off any remaining water (MC 18%-40%)

4. Apply Milan PU 845 evenly to the remaining wood surfaces (dry wood surfaces). Do not apply too much, as Milan PU 845 will expand in volume.

5. Align the two wooden surfaces and clamp them together. Make sure to clamp them tightly until the glue oozes out of the joint.

6. Immediately wipe away any excess glue with a dry cloth or paint thinner until the area is clean, so the glue doesn’t dry on the surface. Use a chisel to remove any excess glue that has already dried.

7. Let the glue dry completely before proceeding to the painting stage. Sand off any remaining adhesive from the surface to be painted.

8. Remove the clamp after 45–55 minutes, then proceed to the next step.
*The ideal time for the bonding test is 12 hours
*Drying time is affected by humidity, temperature, and surface porosity

9. This product dries out when exposed to moisture. Wipe the bottle cap and nozzle clean with a dry cloth. Squeeze any remaining air out of the bottle before closing it, and seal it tightly. Store the bottle in a cool, dry place. Keep it away from heat sources such as direct sunlight.
