Packaging

Available in the following package sizes 0.4 kg and 0.8 kg, PU X Adhesive is a practical wood adhesive solution for projects and everyday production needs.

Advantages of PU X Adhesive

1. One-component, easy to apply

2. Superior bonding, extremely strong adhesion

3. Suitable for wet or damp wood (MC 18%-40%)

4. Waterproof; suitable for indoor and outdoor use

5. Resistant to solvents and other chemicals

6. Meets the requirements of EN 204 (B4/D4)

How to Use PU X Adhesive

1. The wood must be free of dust and oil

2. Make sure the wood surfaces to be joined are flat on both sides. The maximum gap or difference in surface level should not exceed 0.5 mm.

3. Lightly dampen one of the wooden surfaces with a damp cloth—do not make it too wet—and wipe off any remaining water (MC 18%-40%)

4. Apply Milan PU X evenly to the remaining wood surfaces (dry wood surfaces). Do not apply too much. Milan PU X will expand in volume.

5. Align the two wooden surfaces and clamp them together. Make sure to clamp them tightly until the glue oozes out of the joint.

6. Immediately wipe away any excess glue with a dry cloth or paint thinner until the area is clean, so the glue doesn’t dry on the surface. Use a chisel to remove any excess glue that has already dried.

7. Let the glue dry completely before proceeding to the painting stage. Sand off any remaining adhesive from the surface to be painted.

8. Remove the clamp after 45–55 minutes, then proceed to the next step.
*The ideal time for the bonding test is 12 hours
*Drying time is affected by humidity, temperature, and surface porosity

9. This product dries out when exposed to moisture. Wipe the bottle cap and nozzle clean with a dry cloth. Squeeze any remaining air out of the bottle before closing it, and seal it tightly. Store the bottle in a cool, dry place. Keep it away from heat sources such as direct sunlight.

Dos and Don'ts

Do

Read the instructions on the package and make sure the wood surface is free of dust, oil, dirt, or any finish that could reduce adhesion.

Lightly sand if necessary, then clean the surface to ensure optimal adhesion.

Apply the adhesive evenly and immediately join the surfaces together before the adhesive begins to dry.

Apply sufficient pressure during clamping (±60 minutes) and allow the adhesive to dry completely before applying a load.

Clean the equipment after use and store the product properly in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Don’t

Do not apply the adhesive to dirty, dusty, or wet surfaces, or at temperatures that are too high or too low.

Do not mix the glue with other chemicals, and do not use contaminated tools.

Do not delay joining the surfaces after applying the adhesive, and ensure that sufficient clamping pressure is maintained during the drying process.

Do not remove the clamps, touch, or move the joint too soon before the glue has completely dried.

Do not apply any load, test the adhesive strength, or store the product improperly before the proper drying and storage processes have been completed.
